Morfología


Los machos pueden alcanzar 13 cm de longitud total.[2]​



Reproducción


Es ovovivíparo y el macho transporta los huevos en una bolsa ventral, la cual se encuentra debajo de la cola.[3]​



Hábitat


Es un pez demersal y de clima templado.



Distribución geográfica


Se encuentra en los ríos Kariega, Kasouga y Bushmans, Sudáfrica.
