After upgrading version no webcam found by cheese or Skype. Tried checking for the device, see similar a question 1121051 but could not see the webcam or get it to work.
Running Cheese from the shell leaves this trace:
** Message: 19:25:27.899: cheese-application.vala:211: Error during camera setup: No device found
$ ls /dev/video*
ls: cannot access '/dev/video*': No such file or directory
and so on.
I had never had problems with the webcam on the same laptop since 14.04.
