Pedro Afonso (19 julio 1848 – 10 enero  1850) era el príncipe imperial y el heredero  al trono del Imperio del Brasil. Nacido en el Palacio de São Cristóvão en Río de Janeiro,  era el segundo hijo y el más joven del emperador Pedro II y de Teresa Cristina de Borbón-Dos Sicilias, y por ello miembro de la rama brasileña de la casa de Braganza. Pedro Afonso fue considerado vital para la continuidad de la monarquía.


La muerte temprana de Pedro Alfonso por fiebre a la edad de un año devastó el emperador, ya que la pareja imperial no tuvo más hijos. La hermana mayor de Pedro Alfonso, Isabel, era la heredera al imperio, pero Pedro II creía que una mujer nunca podría ser aceptada como monarca por la élite gobernante.
