Since I upgraded ubuntu from 16.04 to 18.04.1 found that when booting in battery, when I plug in the ac adapter, does not detect that is charging altough displays the correct percentage, starts raising when plugged, and laptop leds indicate correctly.
Does anybody had the same issue?
The laptop is a Samsung Series 5 530u

Same problem here, with a Toshiba Satellite C50-B. Also "upower -monitor" detects AC adapter plug/unplug.
Interesting, some battery queries refer either 'battery 0' or 'battery 1' - there is only one battery?!? One tool says that the battery has 65535 mAh capacity - now, there is an interesting number... acpi reports that the AC adapter is online, regardless of actual state....
