For some reason, my desktop environment resets to default whenever my computer crashes. Crashes could be due to power outage, hard reset etc. I don't worry much about those crashes since they don't happen often.
What I'm trying to figure out is why whenever they occur, my desktop environment resets to its default state. Themes, cursors, extensions disabled etc. All my other programs and files are still there, but my desktop looks like it's freshly installed. Whenever this happens, I'm going to have to reconfigure my settings, including my wallpaper, themes, extensions etc.
Can you help me figure out what's going on and how to prevent it from happening again?
