I have deleted Ubuntu 18.04 from the machine. That leaves me without no OS.
I want to reinstall Ubuntu 18.04 but can because the machine returns an error
Error:no such pertition.
Entering rescue mode...
Grub rescue>
When I type set
I get the info below
cmdpath=(hd0)
prefix=(hd0, msdos1)/boot/root
root=hd0, msdos1
Then
grub rescue> set boot=(hd0, msdos1)
grub rescue>set prefix=(hd0, msdos1)/boot/grub
grub rescue>insmod normal
Error: no such partition
What's the way forward?
When I try to boot from the boot loader
it takes me back to the error
xubuntu grubrescue kali-linux-tools

The issue is that when I boot from the boot loader, it takes me back to the error

Ubuntu LiveUSB installers do not use GRUB. They use SYSLINUX. Either you are booting from the wrong disk, or you have mis-made your install USB. Some folks manage to do both.
