You guys are my last resort.
I've been using Ubuntu 18.04 for quite a while now and it's my first time using a Linux OS so I have very little knowledge on troubleshooting.
But there's this thing that keeps annoying me. From time to time, mainly noticeable when scrolling, the display stutters. It feels like a sudden FPS drop and I can't find any solution for this problem. I have tried all kinds of stuff; installing different drivers, messing up with xorg.conf.d
configuration files but nothing seemed to help.
I was hopping if anyone could help me diagnose what is going on exactly and track down the main reason for this behavior. I have an old Dell Inspirion 15R with i5-4200U CPU and an onboard AMD Radeon HD 8670M.
Here's an output of sudo lshw -C video
