En demonología, Volac o Valac es un Gran Presidente del Infierno, teniendo treinta (treinta y nueve para otros autores) legiones de demonios bajo su mando.


Volac da respuestas certeras sobre tesoros ocultos; revela dónde pueden ser vistas las serpientes, y las obliga a comportarse mansamente ante el mago. Se dice que aparece como un pequeño chico pobre con alas de ángel cabalgando un dragón de dos cabezas.

En la cultura popular


En 2016 se estrenó la película The Conjuring 2, del director James Wan, en la cual este demonio es el antagonista principal, presentándose como una monja demoníaca.


En la serie Shadowhunters este demonio aparece (nombrado como Valak) cuando es invocado para recuperar los recuerdos de la protagonista, Clary Fray.


En 2018 le dieron un seguimiento con la cinta La monja, dirigida por Corin Hardy y escrita por Gary Dauberman y James Wan, la cual obtuvo bastante éxito en taquilla.


También en 2018 su nombre aparece de manera breve, en el diario de Edward Spelman, padre de Sabrina Spelman, durante uno de los episodios de Las escalofriantes aventuras de Sabrina de Archie, a cargo de Netflix.
