I try to use firefox and I get Server not found and the generic prompts to fix it. I am connected to a PEAP network, but this has also happened when I connected to a hotspot. This did not used to happen using my home wifi. I did turn my network to monitored instead of managed for a bit.

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:
- "This is not about Ubuntu. Questions about other Linux distributions can be asked on Unix & Linux, those about Windows on Super User, those about Apple products on Ask Different and generic programming questions on Stack Overflow." – vidarlo, waltinator, guiverc, Eric Carvalho, DK Bose

If you are actually having issues with Kali, the proper place to get support is at the Kali Linux forums or unix.stackexchange.com

Kali Linux is offtopic on AskUbuntu. You should probably read this Q&A at U&L SE as well. In short, it is not a general purpose OS. If you are stumped by a browser not working, it's a fair bet that it isn't the correct distribution for you.
