I've been running Pop_OS! for the past week or so trying to figure out if I'm ready to make the jump and start using Linux as my main OS for good. I've been really happy so far, but one thing has been giving me continual headaches.

My mouse.

I use an Elecom HUGE at home and work, and the control situation is a mess. All of the answers seem to be really outdated, or pretty hacky. It's 2019. Do we still have to enter terminal commands to adjust mouse scroll speed, and bind extra mouse buttons? Is there a GUI program I'm missing? I've tried using xbindkeys and imwheel without success. xbindkeys can't provide xte output for some reason (xbindkeys can't grab all the keys defined in its configuration file), and imwheel crashes on startup (signal 11 error). Surely the state of the Linux desktop is better than this.
