Since upgrading my son's PC from 16.04 to 18.04, WOL only works for a short time after his PC shuts down. I have changed no settings in the BIOS, they are exactly as they were before, when WOL was working flawlessly.

I suspect that this is a power management issue, that the NIC is powering down after a certain amount of time, but I don't know where to look to confirm or resolve that. The GUI power management settings don't have any options pertaining specifically to the NIC.

I've seen a lot of posts indicating that something changed with the 4.15 kernel that keeps disabling WOL at shutdown, but that is not my issue. I have that sorted out.
