Resizing partitions has been asked before (1,2) but I just wanted to check: for my setup:
gparted

I want to add a couple of Gb to sda1. Is it possible to shrink sda5 from the start going right? (using gparted liveUSB) I don't know if this is an accurate a visual representation of partition locations.

Also does one still need swap? Using xubuntu 18.04.

Thanks!
