I tried to dual boot install ubuntu 18.04 along with my win10 installation (on two seperate drives). Before i proceeded i searched around and read that it is better if i disconnect my windows 10 drive (i unplugged the sata cable) and install ubuntu on the empty drive alone. I did this and and during installation i think i clicked erase this disk (the one i kept plugged for ubuntu) and install here. The installation was completed etc but after the restarts i wasnt able to boot into windows, going into the BIOS the disk that had the windows wasnt showing up. I inplugged the disk with the ubuntu and restarted and i wasnt it just kept restarting and throwing me to BIOS. I then clicked restore bios defaults and now it tries to load the windows i get a blue screen with a boot related error and i cant log into linux either. I am stuck and i dont know what to do. I think i dont have GRUB and the default bios mode was "uefi" i think. I messed up hard

  • If your Windows drive was unplugged during the installation it couldn't have been bothered at all. Have you tried unplugging the Ubuntu drive and plugging in the Windows drive alone?
