When I send print to a network printer (HP Laserjet 2200d), CUPS asks for username/password. It doesn't happen with other printers and I'm sure its a CUPS issue, because it's asking the password even if I'm not connected to the network.

Since you say it's only one printer which is showing this behaviour, can you post/etc/cups/printers.confsince the error is likely to be in a parameter for just that printer.

Since you say it's only one printer which is showing this behaviour, can you post/etc/cups/printers.confsince the error is likely to be in a parameter for just that printer.

Add your user the group lpadmin by doing this.
sudo usermod -aG lpadmin USERNAME
Alternatively you can change the group as well, but I wouldn't.
