Características




Logotipo de Planet express en Futurama.


La empresa Planet express fue creada por el profesor Hubert Farnsworth para financiar sus inventos e investigaciones científicas. El lema de la empresa es "Los mensajeros son reemplazables, sus envíos no" y realizan repartos, en su gran mayoría absurdos, a todo el universo.[1]​

Tripulación



  • Leela es la capitana de la nave de reparto y a pesar de tener sólo un ojo y carecer, por tanto, de percepción de la profundidad es la que pilota la nave y fue abandonada en un orfanato por sus padres mutantes


  • Fry es el repartidor llegado del pasado del año 2000 hacia el año 3000 accidentalmente


  • Bender también participa en los repartos, en ocasiones como cocinero o como herramienta de reparaciones pero la mayoría de las ocasiones se limita a hacer de acompañante o causar problemas, apostador y alcohólico


Personal en Tierra



  • Hermes es el burócrata de la empresa, lleva los ingresos y los gastos, notifica a las familias, etc.


  • Amy se encarga de la parte técnica ya que es becaria de ingeniería.


  • Zoidberg es el médico de la empresa a pesar de ser alienígena y no tener conocimientos de anatomía humana.


  • Scruffy es el conserje de Planet Express, aunque también ha ejercido la profesión de notario como se puede ver en el primer episodio de la séptima temporada cuando expide un certificado de abandono para bender
