I am on elementary os Juno = ubuntu 18.04
Linux PavSleekbk15 4.15.0-46-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 6 09:33:07 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
When I download scala 2.11.12 from scala site & do install
I am forced to install scala by apt
this is replaced by
scala 2.11.12-2
and following are auto installed
scala-library (2.11.12-2) ...
scala-parser-combinators (1.0.3-3) ...
scala-xml (1.0.3-3) ..
The problem is that I cannot access scala prompt after that unusual characters creep in making the darn thing useless.
As many of you may know this version is the Spark 2.4 version compatiable.
Is there a way to fix this? Works fine with 16.04 (my other computer with Loki)
Thanks,
apt scala
