I bought a small little Asus running win 10 which just overpowered the drive and ran at glacial speeds. So I wiped the entire hard drive and installed Ubuntu 18.04.

Everything has been fine for a month then two days ago I noticed the track pad wasn't working. Attached an external usb mouse and it worked for a while but after one auto sleep, now it doesn't work either. Nor does the keyboard

They both work prior to me logging in but once I've done that and that basic start-up screen appears, nothing.

Figured I might reload the whole thing again. Made a bootable USB on another laptop and tried to boot - always goes to standard start up. Screen shows the USB is connected as there's an icon on the desktop but no way of doing anything else

Thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated
Tnx
Marcus
