Since 2015 I've been using my laptop with Ubuntu 14 with no problem.
A couple of months ago, my touchpad started to work weird:
1. It lost some sensibility when touching it (like trying to click by tapping in the middle of it)
2. Sometimes the cursor moves randomly (when nothing is touching the touchpad, the cursor stays still. When I touch it, the cursor moves randomly all across the screen, clicking everywhere)
These two things happen randomly. Sometimes it works great but suddenly the behavior is as I aforementioned.
Also, this wasn't gradually. One day this the computer was working flawless and the next day this started to happen always with the same intensity/rate.
I thought it was something related with the kernel so I updated to Ubuntu 18.04 but nothing changed.
My touchpad is a Focaltech.
I'd really appreciate any help.
Thank you for your time.
